What is Tea Tree?
Tea Tree, also known as Melaleuca alternifolia, is a flat-leaved tree exceeding two meters in length. Antiviral (virus killer), antibacterial (bactericidal) and antifungal (fungicidal) properties of the tea tree oil obtained from this tree have long been tested and accepted by the scientific authorities.
Benefits of Tea Tree Oil
- Tea tree oil can be used as a spot treatment for acne. Applying tea tree oil diluted with water or one of the carrier oils to the blemishes morning and evening will help quickly clear that area.
- It’s also quite effective in treating herpes (cold sores) which usually appear on the lips or in the genitals as a result of the virus. Applying a thin layer of diluted tea tree oil to cleansed skin in the morning and evening will help clear and heal the sores thanks to its antiseptic properties.
- In case of insect and fly bites, gently rub one drop of tea tree oil on where you have been stung. Thanks to its antiseptic properties, tea tree oil will eliminate the bacteria caused by the sting and help heal the affected skin.
- You can use tea tree oil against foot fungus, i.e., athlete’s foot. After washing and drying your feet thoroughly, apply a few drops of diluted tea tree oil to the affected area, and rest your feet for some time. Also, adding a few drops of tea tree oil to your foot-soaks is an excellent way to protect yourself against fungus and other possible infections.
- Inhaling tea tree oil will help to relieve bronchial congestion and act as a protective wall against harmful organisms in your body. To achieve this, put a few drops of tea tree oil into your regular bath water.
- Ingrown nails cause inflammation around the nail. To treat this problem, you can apply one drop of tea tree oil to the affected area. This will help dry out the inflammation. It is recommended to repeat the application until the inflammation completely disappears.
- This oil also works as a great antiseptic for gum problems and can be used to clean dentures and as a mouthwash. You can easily use tea tree oil diluted with water to clean your teeth.
- For warts on the hands and feet, applying tea tree oil will help dry out the affected skin.
How to use
Internal Use
- You can add 2 or 3 drops of ORGATICS Tea Tree Oil into half a glass of water and use this as a mouthwash. Afterward, be sure to rinse your mouth with plenty of water. This should never be swallowed.
Topical Use
- ORGATICS Tea Tree Oil can be applied to the skin directly with a cotton pad or by diluting in water or one of the carrier oils depending on the type of treatment.
Other Uses
- ORGATICS Tea Tree Oil is a good insect repellent. You can prepare a mixture of water and spray it around or wipe the affected areas of your house with it to get rid of insects.
- In order to take advantage of its protective effect against harmful organisms, ORGATICS Tea Tree Oil can also be added to your bath water.
